The Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals (RFP) is expected to advertise in April 2010. The advertisement period will be eight weeks. Sealed proposals will be due eight weeks from the advertisement date. There will be a mandatory pre-proposal meeting during the advertisement period for Contractors who respond to the RFP. The RFP will be a public solicitation from the City of Austin, Contracting and Land Management Department.

An accounting of the materials and equipment was conducted during design phase. The material and equipment value is expected to offset part of the deconstruction cost. The information on this website will also be included in the proposal documents (plans and project manual). Click the links at the top of the page for the equipment catalog, site photos, estimated materials’ quantity, and as-built construction drawings of the facility. The quantities presented on this website are estimates taken from as-built drawings and field measurements. The Contractor is responsible for verifying or determining actual quantities of materials on-site using independent methods. Contractors should note the bus bars for Units 1 and 2 have been removed as well as the condenser tubes for all Units. The bus bars for Units 3 and 4 remain and were included in the estimate of copper on-site. No estimate for copper contained in wire conductors is included.
